Nutrient Management Workshop 2.0 - Focus on Amendments
Join us this
winter for an interactive, commodity-focused workshop on building knowledge
around on-farm nutrient amendments. Following the workshop held at the
Wolfville Farmers Market in February 2023, this session will focus on
demystifying the nutritional breakdown of common amendments (e.g., manure,
compost), with the goal of more precise nitrogen application.
Following a short presentation, attendees will get to dive into
pre-prepared sample scenarios to come up with a suitable nutrient strategy
for their respective commodity.
This workshop will be held at four different locations across the
province - Berwick, Bridgewater, Truro and Mabou. Look
forward to a hands-on session focused on utilizing local resources and
applying them to real on-farm examples. Bring your favourite calculator,
